Good Morning Tiki-friends! We hope everybody had a good weekend, especially all the dads out there. We are excited that it's a start of a new week. We received an email notice from the printer that the physical proof of Illustrated Legends of the Old West has been FedEx'd to us so we should have that some time this week. Very exciting!
Well, it's that special time that we have every month where our own little Lucy partners up with her foodie best friend Rachael H, aka La Fuji Mama, and brings us a delicious new recipe. This month, they have decided to celebrate California's Avocado. BTW, June is California Avocado month. Seriously, check out this link. Lucy LOVES avocados! So much so that this month, she didn't imagine doing anything but actually went out into the groves and helped pick some avocados. This little lady sure isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.
This piece was inspired by and dedicated to Mimi Avocado, an avocado rancher here in southern California who is a huge fan of Lucy. In fact, closer to Halloween, we will be at her ranch doing a special reading of The ABC's of Halloween as Imagined by Lucy. More details to follow.
So head on over to Rachael's website to get your hands on the new recipes then head on out to the supermarket, pick up some California avocados and then make the recipe for your little ones, or yourself. Have a great week and we'll see y'all back here on Friday with some more Old West art and maybe even some pics of the new book proof! See you real soon.
